Natalie graduated medicine from the University of Adelaide and undertook both her basic physician training and advanced cardiology training at the Royal Adelaide and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals, Adelaide, Australia. Following this she completed an Advanced Heart Failure fellowship at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Here she became proficient in management of complex heart failure, including patients in cardiogenic shock, those with ventricular assist devices in situ, and cardiac transplant recipients.
Natalie is currently a multi-modality imaging fellow at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College, London, under the supervision of Professor Ronak Rajani. She has developed skills in cardiac computed tomography (CT), cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and transoesophageal echocardiography. She has completed her level III accreditation with the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. Natalie has developed a particular interest in the use of CT in the planning of transcatheter structural heart interventions, and in the diagnosis of infective endocarditis, its cardiac and extracardiac complications, and the utilization of cardiac CT in developing a surgical strategy in this cohort.
While she is interested in all aspects of clinical cardiology, Natalie will sub-specialize in the management of patients with advanced heart failure, particularly those with structural heart disease, utilising her acquired expertise in advanced multi-modality imaging.
