Pál Maurovich-Horvat MD PhD MPH, professor of cardiology and radiology, director of the Semmelweis University’s Medical Imaging Centre and chairman of the Department of Radiology.
He is the Nuclear Cardiology & Cardiac CT vice president of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging the vice president of the Hungarian Society of Cardiologists.
Dr. Maurovich-Horvat graduated from the Semmelweis University in 2006, which was followed by a three-year advanced cardiovascular imaging research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Maurovich-Horvat studied clinical effectiveness at the Harvard University, School of Public Health, where he graduated in 2012. He has been awarded by the prestigious Momentum Grant of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2013 and 2019. His research interest focuses on the development of non-invasive diagnostic imaging strategies to develop personalized cardiovascular risk assessment, to identify patients prone to suffer myocardial infarction. Dr. Maurovich-Horvat is the author of more than 180 international, peer-reviewed publications on cardiac CT, his total impact factor is over 800 with citations over 8000.
