Abi is a Cardiac Physiologist and works at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. She is currently the Lead Cardiac Physiologist for Critical Care Echocardiography. Abi provides theoretical and practical hands on training for ICU echo fellows who are pursuing echocardiography accreditation. She performs complex echocardiograms including TOE on critical care and am a liaison between the Cardiology and Critical Care Departments. Abi loves the team orientated critical care environment, appreciating each healthcare professional being extremely skilled in their particular expertise and responsibilities but share a common patient centred goal, causing us to rely on one another, especially during high intensity times.
Abi is EACVI accredited in both transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography, she is a mentor for BSE level 1 and a supervisor for both EDEC (European Diploma in Echocardiography) and FUSIC (Focused Ultrasound for Intensive Care). She has also been part of the faculty at BSE level 1 and FUSIC courses.
