About the course
FUSE is a 2-day focused ultrasound course that covers both the theoretical and practical ultrasound and echocardiography skills required for any healthcare professional working in acute, emergency or critical care medicine. The course is also the first step in achieving FUSIC or BSE level 1 echocardiography accreditation. The course is divided into two days. Day 1 “The Heart” covers focused screening echocardiography and Day 2 “Lungs, Abdomen and Vasculature’ will cover abdominal, lung and vascular ultrasound skills. Both days will include lectures and case studies from highly experienced faculty, as well as minimum 4 hours each day of supervised practical scanning sessions.
