Dr Carla Goncalves

After completing a first degree in Astrophysics, and an MSc in Radiation Physics, Carla went on to attain an MBBS at University College London. She has completed her Clinical Radiology training in the East of England, subspecialising in Gastro-intestinal and Hepatobiliary Radiology in the tertiary transplant setting. Currently, she is a Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Diagnostic Radiology Consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas NHS Trust, and departmental lead for Acute Radiology Services. She is a keen teacher to Radiologists, other clinicians and Allied Healthcare professionals alike. Her teaching experience includes being an invited speaker at Radiopaedia International Conference, at the Collaborative Ultrasound Project (CUSP) lecture series, and at the British Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology lectures series, amongst others. She endeavours to foster inter-disciplinary interactions, with particular focus in developing more cohesive relationships between healthcare professionals.
